My Values, priorities, and vision for beaufort
I am committed to preserving Beaufort's small-town feel, rich history, and natural resources through managing growth with an eye towards economic and environmental sustainability. I also feels it is important to ensure that locals have a way to stay in Beaufort, even as real estate values often surpass citizens' ability to afford life here. I am ready to get to work on specific upcoming issues that will shape Beaufort for years to come: the update of the Land Development Ordinance; waterfront and harbor improvements; and workforce housing just to name a few. To tie all of this together, it is important how all of this work is conducted. To accomplish the most meaningful and genuine engagement, I believe it's important to work with and through Beaufort's citizenry (as opposed to to and for) and I want to hear YOUR voice.
